All About Keys

Last Updated: Apr 17, 2013 11:15AM BST
There are lots of keys floating around and it’s important to have a good understanding of what each key does.

If you buy (or have bought) Prison Architect from Introversion you will be issued with two keys.

An Introversion Single Use Activation Key: XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXX

A Steam Retail Activation key: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

To access these you need to go to the download link that was originally sent to you when you bought Prison Architect.

You use your Introversion Single Use Activation Key to activate an Introversion forum account and access our private forum, wiki and bug databases.  You can read about that here.

If you wish to activate your game on Steam you use your Steam Retail Activation key to do this.  Within Steam click “+ Add Game” -> “Activate a Product on Steam”. Prison Architect will be added to your game collection and you’ll get automatic updates.

Please note that if you activate a Introversion bought copy on Steam you will not be issued with any additional keys from steam (because you do not need any).

If you buy Prison Architect on Steam you will be provided with an Introversion Single Use  Activation Key: PSTEAM-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXX

You use your Introversion Single Use Activation Key to activate an Introversion forum account and access our private forum, wiki and bug databases.  You can read about that here.

If you buy the Name In The Game pack on Steam you will be provided with an Introversion Name In The Game Key: PBIOSM-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXX.

You use your Introversion Name In The Game Key to activate an Introversion forum account and access our private forum, wiki and bug databases.  You can read about that here.

You also use your Introversion Name In The Game Key to submit a prisoner bio.  You can read about how to do that here.
